Very busy Monday morning

The kids are having a very busy, productive and connected Monday
morning. Perhaps even busier than the parents!

Not Wearing Sleeves, Part 3 (in the water)

Did I mention that the water, though typical-lake-murky, was wonderfully warm, shallow to the end of the dock, and soft sandy-bottomed? Ideal conditions for those (Deven) who were terrified at the beginning of the week...and we couldn't pull away by the end.

The jetski was well-used by
- Uncle Tommy (the pro),
- Aunt Heather (who lost a pair of sunglasses in a spectacular wipeout),
- Uncle Jeff (pictured here; a natural!),
- Aunt Rea (who took about .02 seconds to figure out how to stand up and do it well), and
- Yogesh (who had the good fortune of having it run out of gas on him twice in the middle of the lake; and note his skinned-shins in the prior post photos).
- I tried the jetski, but didn't quite get it or really *like* the experience, so I left it to the experts.

Meanwhile, on the boat, Aunt Marsha got back on the waterskis (she & Aunt Carolyn grew up on Orchard Lake in Michigan) - she was too fast for us to grab a snapshot; but the image of her showing up the teenagers as she cruised on by is still in my head! :)

Not Wearing Sleeves, Part 1

We have returned from a wonderful family vacation in Cedar Lake, Indiana (AKA "CLI"), where Aunt Heather & Uncle Tommy have a lake house.




Along with Uncle Tommy & Aunt Heather, the boat and the CLI Jetski were wonderful hosts. They, and cousin Ante, Nanni & Grandpa; Aunt Carolyn, Aunt Rea, Uncle Jeff, cousin Eva, Aunt Marsha, Uncle Rich, Aunt Gina, Uncle Pete, and cousin Livia were all able to join us - for this, the kids first time meeting each other.

Aunt Rea celebrated a birthday (welcome, again, to the "you can't say "Early 30's" anymore, Cuz!), & we had lots of good food, family, sun, & fun.

I'd write more but I'm tired... but it was a magical week...and I succeeded in my only real goal...of Not Wearing Sleeves!

Happy 75th Birthday Daadi!

Apologies in advance for the sideways video - but we had a lovely party and cake for Daadi's 75th Birthday last weekend - enjoy!


Daadi also just received a lovely card from Aunt Carolyn - she was so happy to get the card (with the goddess Laxmi/Lakshmi on the cover, it was so nice that Daadi has decided to keep it for the next Diwali celebration. :)
